The Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre also known as the AECC, is a large exhibition and conference complex. The complex is home to a Holiday Inn hotel, conference facilities and the 4,800-seat multi-purpose Press & Journal Arena, which has a capacity of up to 8,500
The arena currently hosts local sporting events and concerts, including the Aberdeen Cup tennis event. In recent years the AECC underwent a major refurbishment, with the conference facilities being completely re-built. As part of the redevelopment, a large viewing tower was constructed and is one of the tallest structures in Aberdeen.
Recent performers at the P&J Arena include Oasis, The Killers, The Pussycat Dolls, The Corrs, Rihanna, The Foo Fighters, Travis, Westlife, Muse, Stereophonics, Katie Melua, Paul Weller, McFly, Keane, Girls Aloud, Shayne Ward, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Lady Gaga, The Fratellis and Lionel Richie.
The arena has also played host to WWE wrestling events, Torville and Dean, Disney on Ice, World Snooker's Grand Prix Championship, The X Factor Live Tour and The Britain's got Talent Live Tour. Status Quo, regularly play at AECC

Travel / Parking:
Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) enjoys excellent road, rail, and air transport links. The Centre is positioned immediately adjacent to the A90 trunk road and Aberdeen International Airport is only a fifteen-minute drive away. Flight connections are available to three London airports, most other UK airports and Northern Europe.
Aberdeen city centre is within easy reach of AECC and an on-site park and ride service offers regular transport to and from the city centre every fifteen minutes during peak times. Once at the Centre, there is ample free parking. AECC has over 4000 free car parking spaces spread over several car parks located at different entrances to the Centre.
A Park and Ride bus service is situated beside the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference (AECC) and operates between Bridge of Don and the Kingswells facility via the City Centre.
The service operates on a 10-minute peak service and a 15-minute off-peak service and runs from Monday to Saturday. A screen displaying the bus times can be found in the Centre’s main reception.
